My name is Dan, and some people call me Woody. It’s the last name… real creative, I know.

I live in San Ramon, California with my wife Tracy. I grew up here and moved back in early 2006 after spending 8 years in the south bay (Santa Clara, Mountain View, Sunnyvale and San Jose).

I am currently employed by Adaptive Path, an experience and design consulting agency.  My role here is the Senior Technologist, responsible for ensuring that the designs, strategies and concepts we create for clients can actually be developed.  I provide expertise in all web-related technologies and prototype concepts as well.  I have most recently been spending time learning more about Flash, Flex, Lazlo, AIR and Silverlight technologies.  I am also spending time learning all about mobile user experiences.

My primary hobby is cycling. I ride a 6-year old Trek 2000 road bike and a 9-year old Trek single-track mountain bike. Both are due for an upgrade ;-). I try to ride twice each weekend and love the hills in this area. I follow a bit of the pro cycling tour, but would not call myself an avid fan (except for July when I watch 2-3 hours of the Tour de France each night ).
