The New York Department of Transportation is holding a competition for a bike rack design. Dubbed “CityRack”, the DOT is looking for “…something that is functional while simultaneously capturing the attention and imagination of New Yorkers”.

The Next Phase Studios concept of a flexible rack is the one that takes the current standard and improves on it. I can’t tell you how annoying it is to have to jam your bike into all sorts of tight spots just to be able to close your lock. I hope it wins.
