This July I will participate in the 2008 LIVESTRONG Challenge. I’ll ride 100 miles in San Jose supporting the cause of fighting cancer and helping those living with cancer. This is the first time that the event is coming to San Jose. If you are so inclined, please join me by walking, running or riding.
Last year, I rode in the Los Angeles event which wound it’s way through Irvine. I’ve participated in quite a few organized rides and this was one of the best run events I’ve seen. If you are interested in trying your first ever athletic challenge, then I’d recommend this one. There are many options for length of run/ride and there’s a ton of support. Best of all, in honor of Lance Armstrong’s Austin heritage, they serve Shiner Bock at the finish line! View some photos from past events on Flickr.
I’m on a small team with some old friends and new friends. We’ve formed team “Alien Technology“. Chad came up with the name, and I’m not too sure what it means
. Right now, we have a team goal of $2000, but I’m sure that will increase since we’ve already seen quite a bit of support.
You can support me with a small donation. My personal fundraising goal is $500. Thanks for your support!
