The media is keeping on the “stay off the roads or you’ll die” trend for cyclists. This started a week ago after three roadies were struck by a car, two fatally, in San Jose. Yesterday, The Chronicle posted an article overviewing the deadliest roads for cyclists. There’s an accompanying database to lookup accidents by county. While any loss is tragic, these numbers are statistically low. Take for example the three deaths and 16 severe injuries in a year for Market St.; a road that probably sees a couple hundred riders per day.
