Webware tells us that 511.org, the local traffic and transit site “melted” during the recent storms. The story was triggered by the voicemail rant of a commuter frustrated by the outage of 511′s interactive map under heavy load. I guess this is a good time to plug Google Transit once again and all of Chris’ recent success on the project. Just look at that list of supported metros!!
Guy, tell me how the Seattle directions work for you.
On a related note, Evan pointed my to Bart Rage yesterday, a site where you can sound off about recent rate hikes, reductions in service, stinky train cars and the lack of a sound wall around the Castro Valley station (it’s in the freeway median).
