I noticed today that the Tour of Missouri bike race is using the same Tour Tracker app that was developed for this year’s Tour of California. The app (probably built by Adobe) uses flash to mashup a map of each stage with GPS data, a chat board, the course profile, live video and text-based play-by-play. Once I saw the app for the Cali race, I kinda figured that Adobe would want to get the most from the effort of building it and sell it to other events. There’s no reason this couldn’t be used for any racing sport such as running and sailing.
