Rusty has been a member of our family for a week now and today I realized that I neglected to blog about him.  How could I have been so careless?!  Rusty is a Redbone Coonhound and Labrador mix.  He is almost one-year-old (his “birthday” is Jan 31st).  We adopted him from the Tri-Valley SPCA, a really great organization.

This last week has certainly been eventful.  I imagine that our experience is similar to that of bringing home a newborn child.  We lost some sleep the first night, are dealing with house training issues, our time at home is pretty consumed by the dog and our wallet is a little thinner as well
