Today Google Transit added five new locations to it’s service. The service previously only offered walking and transit directions for Portland, OR. The new locations are:
- Tampa, FL
- Honolulu, HI
- Eugene, OR
- Pittsburgh, PN
- Seattle, WA
My brother Chris is the lead engineer on this product. I know that he and the team at Google have been spending a ton of time on this new release. Chris has been living and working in Zurich, Switzerland for the last three months on this. His wife Sara and his daughter Hanna have been there for the last couple months as well.
